The Boot Inn in Eskdale in the English Lake District with Scafell behind.

The Hunter and Morrish families who came together in 1940 with the marriage of Billy and Eva Hunter have lived for hundreds of years in the North East and the South West of England.  The families have been influenced by the local scenery and by local and national events.  Sometimes in small ways they have even influenced these events.

In this blog I want to explore these families and what has influenced them and their environment. Which gives me a pretty clear Carte Blanche to talk about anything I like!

I would love to hear from you, if you think I’m straying too far off the point of Genealogy and local history, if you think I am wrong, or even when I am sometimes right.

Hello Bob, and welcome from the Geneabloggers blogosphere! Just dropped by to take a look; my ancestors come from Devon and Cornwall as well (and just a few from Warwickshire).

    Regards
